Week 9: Devlog


For the Alpha release of our game, we aim to have all 5 planned levels fully playable with more finely tuned character controls, and have our HUD, menus and other UI elements be fully functional. The gameplay mechanics should be as follows: Controls (player movement, player swinging  from grapple points, Bullet-Time activation), death upon contact with spikes, timer counting down with game ending upon it reaching 0, finish line which players must reach to complete the level. The game should begin with a title screen, where players select the start button and are transfered to the level select screen, where each of the 5 level buttons leads to one of each of the 5 levels. The pause menu should contain resume and quit buttons, and audio and soundtrack stubs should be implemented.
